Trackin' all night...

A szemenkénti lánctalp a világ kevés csodája közül az egyik. És a világ legkib.szottulunalmasabb dolgainak listáján is benne van a top3-ban, másfél óra alatt sikerült másfél keretnyi lánctalpszemet levagdosni és megpucolni (utóbbi művelettel kapcsolatban vannak kételyeim, hogy szükséges-e, de jobb a bizonyos pucolás, mint a bizonytalan randa lánctalp végeredménynek). Közben az unalmas munkanapokat kihasználva keresés folyik a megfelelő pihenő pózban lévő amerikai harckocsizófigura után, és jó lenne fotókat találni a Makin-atollról, hogy ne lőjek nagyon mellé az aljnövényzet kialakításakor. Ezek vannak, csupa izgalom :)

Well, this separate track thing is looking good but making it is a big pain and a huge waste of time (and nerves). The kit has four sprues containing the track links and the connectors and after one and half hour of cutting + cleaning I only finished one and half sprues. Boring, boring, boring... but I hope will look OK. Some horrific view, the sprues:


In the meantime the search for the figure continued. I'm just learning about US uniforms and scanning through all the figure-selling webshops to find the perfect figure. I plan only one tanker in relaxed pose drinking/eating/reading/sleeping after the battles on Makin atoll. And looking for pictures on the terrain + vegetation on Makin to build up the base.
