A free afternoon - my wife is in the cinema with her friends - modelling, what else? As I had more time than usually, I decided to paint a little. It need long preparations and my bench looks like this when ready to start painting - yes, those T-shirts protect the monitor and the printer :)

Weeks ago I primed the upper half of the body. I decided to paint it separately, and when ready then I glue it in place and only after that will I paint the underside of the hull. This way I hope I can prevent painting accidents of the interior.

I cut the starst from Tamiya masking tape using painting mask (the mask could not be applied to the turret perfectly so I decided to paint it white first and mask "inversely" the stars). It was a quite hard task to cut the stars but finally successfully cut some star-looking things.

First coat of olive drab. Unfortunately I don't have proper lighting for making photos (normal bulbs - that means losing details even when the white-balance is set properly on the camera) so it is nicer in reality showing more the shadows made by the pre-shading technique.

Olive drab and some white is the next layer of lightening the panels. I don't want to overdo that so I think I stop now - later the weathering will make it looking more uniform. I think.
